Ashley Park dazzled at the Gold House 2nd Annual Gold Gala in a stunning Roberto Cavalli gown that featured a daring cut-out design and sparkling pineapple embellishments. The actress, who was among the A100 honorees for her work in Emily in Paris, Beef, Joy Ride, and more, shared her excitement for celebrating Asian Pacific excellence and culture at the event. She also revealed the sweet meaning behind her choice of dress, which paid tribute to her mother and the Gold Bridge theme of the gala.

Park looked radiant as she posed on the red carpet with her parents, who were her dates for the night. She wore a black and champagne hued gown from Roberto Cavalli‘s Spring 2023 collection, designed by Fausto Puglisi. The dress featured beige sleeves that fastened at her collarbone and matching material that wrapped around her hips, creating a striking contrast with the flowy black fabric. The bodice was held together by four crystal-encrusted pineapples, adding a touch of glamour and playfulness to the look.

The pineapples were not just a random accessory, though. Park explained to Elle that they reminded her of bridges, which symbolized the theme of this year’s gala: Gold Bridge. The event aimed to honor and connect Asian Pacific leaders and changemakers across various fields, from media to tech to fashion. Park also said that pineapples are her mom’s favorite food, so wearing them on her dress felt like a fun homage to her.

Park accessorized her look with a collection of ear cuffs, dangly Effy earrings, several gold rings, Christian Louboutin black open-toe platform pumps, and a glittery Bvlgari handbag. She styled her hair in big Hollywood waves with a side part, courtesy of hairstylist Clayton Hawkins. Her makeup, done by Melissa Murdick, was natural and glowing, with a hint of pink on her lips and cheeks.

Park was joined by her Joy Ride co-stars (Sherry Cola, Stephanie Hsu, and Sabrina Wu) at the gala, where they presented a tribute to the cast and creators of Joy Luck Club, which will celebrate its 30th anniversary this year. Park said that working on Joy Ride, which was co-written and directed by Adele Lim, was an amazing experience because it was the first time she was surrounded by Asians all the time. She also expressed her gratitude to Gold House for supporting Asian Pacific voices to be loud and proud.

Park’s Roberto Cavalli gown was a perfect choice for the Gold Gala, as it showcased her elegance, confidence, and personality. She proved that she is not only a talented actress, but also a fashion star to watch.
